Busy, busy, busy!

I know that once again it has been ages since I have posted. I have been baking cakes like crazy for my clients and working at a local bakery to help them out. This is going to have to stop pretty soon and I'm going to have to take it a little easier before I fall asleep face first into a cake.
I've had a few appointments and according to my doctor, everything has been measuring perfectly. I feel huge but I've only gained around 6 lbs. so far. Baby's heartbeat has been steadily between 140-150 every time. I have a doppler at home also and I love hearing her little heartbeat.
As far as movement goes, she's off and on. Some days she's really lazy and only moves a little bit and then she'll have a few days where she won't stop moving. I can see her moving if I watch my belly and that is the neatest thing I have ever seen! Unfortunately, every time Mr. Bakersaur is around, she freezes and won't move again until he's gone.
I'm getting more and more nervous about the actual delivery. I've finally admitted to myself that even though I had originally wanted an all natural birth, there will most likely be an epidural involved. I don't have much of a pain tolerance no matter how tough I would like to be.
The nursery isn't even close to finished. Many people tell me I still have plenty of time but 13 weeks just doesn't seem like long enough to me. The only thing I have is the crib and bedding. I do have 2 baby showers coming up, one in May on Mother's Day weekend and the second in June. I can't wait for those because I haven't seen most of my family and friends since I got pregnant.

I'll update again soon and I promise I won't wait so long next time.

GOOD LUCK BIBLIOSAUR!!!

And we are team...

PINK!!

We had our big u/s today and we are thrilled! Everything was measuring perfectly (even a little ahead) and baby girl cooperated beautifully :-)

My mom was able to go with us and she was so happy. For someone who wasn't exactly excited at the beginning of this pregnancy, she's come such a long way. She has even purchased our crib for us! After our ultrasound today she also went and bought 4 or 5 baby outfits.

Right now I can't get the pictures to load, but I will upload them as soon as things start acting normally around here!

Well, I admit to being a terrible 'saur :-(

I am currently 15 weeks and 6 days and feeling a lot better. For my first 3 months, I was constantly sick and couldn't eat much. I pretty much became a hermit and wouldn't go anywhere or do anything. Poor Mr. Bakersaur had a lot to deal with!
I've been to 2 different doctor appointments since my last appt and both have been great! Both times I got to listen to the heartbeat which was amazing and baby's heartbeat sounded perfect. I also learned that so far I have gained absolutely no weight! I was shocked to learn this as I was getting much bigger and just felt like I was weighing a ton. It never occurred to me that it was BABY that was growing and not my fat.

Mr. Bakersaur got me a doppler for Christmas and until I was almost 14 weeks, I was never able to find baby's heartbeat. When I finally did, I almost cried because I was so happy! I now use it at least once a week between appointments just to calm my nerves.

I also think that I have started to feel some movement. I didn't think about it the first time I felt it but last night after I coughed, I got a heavy fluttering feeling a couple of inches below my bellybutton. I ran to tell Mr. Bakersaur and he was just as excited.

Our next appointment is February 18th and *hopefully* we will be able to find out the sex of the baby!!

1st Ultrasound

Last Tuesday I went for my first ultrasound and I was super nervous and so excited at the same time!

By my own calculations I was putting myself at 5w5d on the day of the appointment. The doctor's office had calculated me at 7w5d and after the ultrasound, we discovered I was 6w1d and my EDD is July 19, 2010. We talked about it and because of my crazy long and irregular cycles, this was normal. They also said that everything looked great and normal! I was so excited to hear that :-) We saw the heartbeat and even got to hear it, which I didn't think we would be able to since I was still pretty early.

Blood Tests

I HATE getting my blood taken. I know it doesn't really hurt and it's really quick, but I hate having to wait until the next day to get my results.

Since my BFP, I called my doctor and expressed my concerns about being so nervous and paranoid about this pregnancy. She said it was completely normal and asked me to come in and get my blood drawn once on Wednesday and once on Friday just to see if my numbers were going where they are supposed to and make sure it is a growing pregnancy. I went on Wednesday morning pretty optimistic. Thursday, my nurse calls me to tell me that my numbers were lower than she thought they would be. However, because of my irregular cycles, it could just mean that I'm not as far along as I thought I was. I went back in on Friday morning pretty bummed because I knew I wouldn't get my results back until Monday. On Friday afternoon, around 4pm, I got a call from my nurse. She had my results back already! My numbers had gone from 382 to 950!!! She said this is excellent progress :-)

She also mentioned that my progesterone levels were a little low so they would be prescribing Prometrium, a progesterone pill, for me to take twice a day. She warned me that they would make me pretty sleepy and boy was she right!

Normally, my doctor's office doesn't schedule the first appt. and ultrasound until 8 weeks. Because of my past miscarriage, she scheduled it for November 24th. I'm not sure how far along I will be at that point, but I'm guessing 5-6 weeks. I am ecstatic and I can't wait for our first ultrasound and appointment. I never made it to my first appointment with the last pregnancy, so this will be a totally new experience.

Still praying that this will be the sticky baby :-)

Holy Crap!!!!!

I am so sorry to have not posted lately. I was incredibly aggravated with the whole situation and therefore was trying to stay away from some things that were pregnancy related. My cycles have been long (averaging around 40 days) and that really can eat at you sometimes not knowing when anything is going to happen.Lately, I have been having some weird feelings in my lower abdomen. My ovaries were hurting and overall it felt like something was just not right. I had it in my head that something was seriously wrong and I would never be able to have children because of it.

Last week, I took 2 HPTs so that I could rule that out and continue with my hypothetical ranting. Tonight I felt the need to take one more just to ease my mind and oh. my. gosh...

BFP!!!!!!!!!

Are you friggin' kidding me!?!? I'm being very cautious this time and praying for this to be a sticky baby. I was so scared that it would take me another 2 years to get pregnant again.

I'm incredibly nervous and scared. I don't want to do anything this time that could have caused the last miscarriage. I'm even edging around paranoid.

I know that if it happens, it happens. But I'm going to do everything in my power to make this baby stick!

Where have I been?!?!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe I haven't posted here in so long... shame on me!

Let me catch you up. Last cycle was a total bust :-( I thought I had it all figured out; I had noticed my CM and made sure to BD a lot around those days. When it came down to time to test...B...F...N... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, ever since my miscarriage in July my cycles have been crazy long. They average around 40 days which is FOREVER when you're TTC.

After getting my latest heartbreaking BFN, I made a plan. I will start to temp and chart! I went and purchased my first BBT and off I went. For two days. I am absolutely terrible at this! I wake up at different times everyday so temping at the same time is out the window. I even tried to set my alarm for one certain time every morning and it never seems to work. I either sleep through my alarm or I wake up an hour before it goes off. This doesn't even count the days that I just completely forget to temp altogether...

Any tips on keeping consistent? This is cycle #3 since the miscarriage. It took almost 2 years to conceive the baby that we lost... I really hope it doesn't take that long again.

Nothing new

Since my last bfn there hasn't been anything new or exciting happening at my house. Still waiting to ovulate...ugh! I'm so tired of the whole process and all of the waiting involved. I've never been a patient person and this is not helping.

There are so many people I know that are pregnant and I am so happy for them. On the inside though, there's always that little twinge of disappointment in myself. I know many of you know that feeling. It doesn't really take away from my happiness for them, but it hurts later.

Congrats to all I know that are expecting their little bundles of joy! And Bibliosaur, congrats on your TWO, IDENTICAL bundles of joy!!!!!!!!! I am truly happy for you :-)

Booo...

I'm out this round. I took a HPT before we left for Paris and got a BFN. I also took another one while there and got another BFN. Booooooo......

Luckily, Aunt Flo didn't start until the day I got home. Talk about perfect timing :-) I'm a little disappointed but not too surprised. I honestly didn't expect it to happen the first cycle.

I'm also considering starting to chart. I know I said I was going to try not to, but I've been thinking about it more and more.

So, any tips? What should I do first if I decide to go for it?

Limbo

I feel like I am in Limbo.

AF was scheduled to show this past Saturday (15th). No show so far. However, since my miscarriage is still recent, I'm not sure if I should dare expect her to show up on time.

I leave for Paris for a week long vacation Wednesday. Now I'm faced with a decision... Should I test now and be extremely happy or disappointed on my vacation or should I wait until we come back and wait to see if AF shows her ugly head while I'm on my dream vacation???

I hate this. I'm afraid to test but I know that I probably should.

Rough day...

Today was a bad day for me. I think about the baby that we lost all the time, but today was harder than some. I thought about how far along I would be now, how it would be developing, etc.

I still sometimes blame myself. Did I do something wrong? I must have! I lifted too many heavy objects, I went up and down the stairs too many times after the doctor told me not to. It must have been because I went camping the weekend it all happened. Now... I know all of this is total bullcrap, but these are the thoughts that rush through my head sometimes. I've had tons of people come forward and tell me about their miscarriages and how I can talk to them, but I have a hard time talking to anybody about it. For some reason I have it in my head that I should be over it by now and that I was only six weeks along so I can't have been that attached to it. Trust me, I know this is totally wrong, but whenever I think about talking to somebody about all of the sadness it has caused me that is what I assume they will think.

I've put on a really good show. I go on with my life and my business. I laugh and have fun and stay busy. But underneath, I'm really struggling.

I'm holding out hope and I know it will get better. This is the first time I've "talked" about any of this. Now that we're TTC again I'm excited and I have started to feel some of my sadness lift at the thought of getting pregnant again. I know that there will be my BFN moments and that those moments will really suck and I will have bad days then too, but I am going to try my hardest and push past those moments to get to my BFP.

Sorry for the depressing post...just needed to get some of it out

"Are you Ovulating or Something?"

This is what Mr. Bakersaur asked me yesterday. Since I don't chart or temp, I have to guess and my best guess would be this week or next week. So that is 2 weeks of FWP!! As a result of me now jumping on Mr. Bakersaur every chance I get, he finally asked... "Are you ovulating or something?" I couldn't help but laugh!
He decided a long time ago that he wanted absolutely no knowledge of how that whole process worked. Since then, he's gotten a general idea, but he mostly just doesn't want to know when I'm ovulating. He doesn't want to feel pressured :-) He usually stays pretty clueless...but this month he seemed to catch on pretty fast so I had to confess.

I don't mind him not wanting to know. Actually it makes it easier for me too because it takes a lot of the pressure off of me too. We both want this baby so bad. And after the miscarriage, we only want it more. We both tend to a lot of pressure on ourselves and I know it's not helping anything so we've made it our mission this week to quit stressing about it and just let it happen.

An Introduction

Hi! My name is Bakersaur and I am so excited to be a part of Pregosaur!

Little bit about myself:

I've been married to Mr. Bakersaur for 2 years and we live in Arlington, Texas. We have a dog (pit/chihuahua mix) and 2 cats. We had been TTC for almost a year when we finally got a BFP in April. We were so unbelievably excited and were making lots of plans. Unfortunatley, on June 1, 2009 I had a miscarriage. I was almost 6 weeks along.

It is my goal to do this naturally, without temping, charting, etc. These will be my last options.

Mr. Bakersaur came from a large family (he's one of 9 siblings!) and I have 1 sister but we seem to have compromised on 2-3 children. Growing up I always said I would never have children. I was impatient and easily agitated. Since I've gotten married I seem to have mellowed out quite a bit. I now enjoy playing with kids and can't wait to have one of my own!

I call myself Bakersaur because for the last year I was working at a wedding cake bakery. Baking is my passion :-) Today, I run a very small cake business with my mom out of her house and I work at home doing data entry with my husband for his business.

I am pretty sure that this week will be my "O" week, so I will be a little busy this week ;-) My dr. confirmed that it would be okay for us to try again this cycle so that is exactly what we will be doing.
