I cannot belive that I am already halfway through the 2WW today! Wow, how did that happen? This is how it happened:
We got a dog! I´ve spent most of my adult life and all of my childhood wanting a dog, and now I convinced Mr. Lillysaur to adopt one. I´ve been working on him for the last two years, so this was a big thing. The little guy came home with us last Friday after we signed the adoption papers at the shelter. He´s about six months old, so truly my baby. We spend lots of time going on walks (I´ve already lost some weight!!!) and playing or just hanging out together. Between the dog and the acupuncture I feel so utterly relaxed and happy that the 2WW didn´t really hit me until I decided to look at FF, which I´ve neglected the past couple of days. I suppose I´ll return to temping eventually, like maybe Wed., but I´m in no rush for now. I have my fur baby to keep me company and distract me. I think he´ll make a great family dog when the time comes, but till then I´m enjoying him.

I'm a new reader of pregosaur but am familiar with everyone's stories (I have too much time on my hands I think!) I have a Sheltie and your new pup looks like he has sheltie or collie in him. He's adorable! Good job for adopting! As a heads up, keep a close eye on that spot on his nose, if it grows have it checked out by a vet, if it grows it could be a particular condition that is known in collies. Enjoy the little guy and the distraction he provides you in your 2ww!
ReplyDeleteOMG the cuteness! He is gorgeous - congratulations on your new buddy!
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable! This post just reminded me that I didn't post about my own little addition! I love having a dog in my life. Like you I never had one growing up but have always wanted one. I even spent 2 years working at an adoption center seeing all these wonderful dogs come in needing a home without being able to bring one to my home. It's such a great feeling to finally have one, isn't it? I am LOVING having a little fuzzy son. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new dog! He is so cute! Good for you for adopting. Pets are such a joy in our lives aren't they?
