I too think it might be cheaper to have your parent's ship out the items especially the diapers.Relaxasaurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15250843322020643505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1468678068770802199.post-4279686646813575662010-01-10T07:05:21.104-08:002010-01-10T07:05:21.104-08:00Wow! Good luck with finding the best deals!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1468678068770802199.post-66027795574723182572010-01-10T06:53:27.375-08:002010-01-10T06:53:27.375-08:00I can't sympathize as I live in the States, bu...I can't sympathize as I live in the States, but maybe you can have your parents in California buy you some of this stuff and then have it shipped. Surely it'll be cheaper? (You pay for it, but they buy it.)

Good luck!!!the single mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08022136696158611372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1468678068770802199.post-29233791151236159932010-01-10T02:32:12.156-08:002010-01-10T02:32:12.156-08:00I can sympathize as well. I think my parents had a bit of a shock when they were here visiting! I've lived here long enough now that I stop converting everything to USD, because the difference was driving me to drink!
We're hoping to start TTC this year and I want to thank you for your posts about cloth diapers and buying stuff secondhand. I didn't even know those groups existed!
My parents are still in the US, so when we do get pregnant, I will probably ask them to ship stuff over to us and I'll be stocking up on goodies when I'm visiting.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16509737797052801965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1468678068770802199.post-63654169552534405722010-01-10T01:02:20.951-08:002010-01-10T01:02:20.951-08:00I can sympathize a bit. I live in one of the most ...I can sympathize a bit. I live in one of the most expensive places in the world (Copenhagen), and my family and friends in the States don't understand both how small our flat really is, and how expensive things really are. I'm not overreacting, well, at least as much as they think I am! ;)

I got a lot of stuff from other moms. I started going to a playgroup while I was still pregnant, and moms were eager to free up some of their own space by *giving* me their newborn-sized clothes, outgrown Bumbos, and now-neglected toys. I don't suppose there's anything like that near you? It was amazing! :)

Good luck!Lorryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14155686679117574497noreply@blogger.com
